Samir Geagea has mentioned moments ago through his press office that "the Ministry of Energy and the government were not in a state of emergency needed to meet the crisis of water scarcity. Then some inform us recently of importing water from Turkey, taking away faster and much less expensive solutions, such as digging coastal artesian wells where water extraction is easy, or transferring water via the sea from the estuaries of some rivers that did not dry out, to pumping stations near large populations centers..." and concluded by saying: "The government does not adopt practical solutions and do not put it into practice, but some in it prefer the very difficult solutions for ulterior motives".
